Patsy and I were on genforum today working. We came across, in the Smith forum, where people were very upset over a person posting to sell supposedly "original" old old newspaper articles, Civil War letters, etc etc. for big bucks. We're talking $450.00 for 2 Civil War letters. The people are bombarding her with emails and some are contacting genforum to let them know of this person. I clicked on her name, "Joy", to see what her email address was. And along with her email address was an alphabetical listings of other postings she has done. By the time I got through the letters A & B, I had counted 33 postings, so you can imagine how many she's done by the time she gets to Z. So please be aware of this. My concern is that some new genealogist will be taken in by her or him. Hard telling if "Joy" is really her/his name. She says not to post back to genforum to buy these "originals" but to email her directly. BEWARE. PROCEED WITH CAUTION
