There is a Mathias Egner buried in Elkton Cemetery who died around 1750 (as I remember). I took a photo of his tombstone and when I get the film developed will verify the death of death. We do know that the Mathias Egner line of Lehigh County PA had a son named Peter who was married to a Margaretha. This very well could be Jacob's parents. We lose track of Peter and Margaret after their fourth child is born in Montgomery County, PA in 1780. Mathias came from German in 1727 aboard the Molly. Here is a URL to a descendent chart on the Mathias line: http://www.kerchner.com/des735.htm Peter is near the bottom. There's still lots to figure out in Cecil County, but this may be one step closer to proving the line did indeed come from Mathias. --Celia :o) ==== EGNER Mailing List ==== Post your Queries, Bible Records, Bios, Deeds, Obits, Pensions, and Wills on the appropriate GenConnect Board: http://resources.rootsweb.com/surnames/e/g/EGNER/#gc ============================== Free Web space.
