Note to everyone: You may wish to place queries on both Agner and Egner sites, unless you know your branch never got changed. (Kathy, you mightl want to do this as your's just might be a branch out of the Rockbridge Agners that got changed to Egner, just as mine got changed to Egnor) If any of these URLs are too long and get cut off, you will get an error if you try to click on the link, so you'll have to see how much got cut off and enter the last of the URL. Anyone who would like to have your name and email address and website URL added to my website on the Egner/Agner "CONTACTS" page, please email me. I will be happy to add you. --Celia Hartmann, list admin My website: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hartmann/ (Select the link to Egnor genealogy) Link to Johannes Aegender's (Agner) "will" and his signatures: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hartmann/aegender.html Aigner GenForum: http://www.familyhistory.com/messages/Messages.asp?category=Surname&forum=A igner Agner GenConnect Boards: http://resources.rootsweb.com/surnames/a/g/AGNER/ Agner GenForum: http://genforum.genealogy.com/agner/ Agner FamilyHistory Forum: http://www.familyhistory.com/messages/Messages.asp?category=Surname&forum=A gner Egner GenConnect Boards: http://resources.rootsweb.com/surnames/a/g/EGNER/ Egner GenForum: http://genforum.genealogy.com/Egner/ Egner FamilyHistory Forum: http://www.familyhistory.com/messages/Messages.asp?category=Surname&forum=E gner
William and John Egner were brothers, the sons of Jacob and Elizabeth Bishop Egner. Eleanor and Eveline Underwood were sisters, daughters of Augustavus and Elizabeth (Betty) McFarland Underwood. Jacob Egner was the son of Samuel Egner who was the first Egner to come to Whitley Co., KY. Augustavus (Gusta) and Betty had 16 children. The oldest was Sally b. about 1819 and the youngest Washington A. )Dock) b. about 1850. If you have my father's book on the Underwoods, you will find that he said "I, Edgar M. Egner, was the last Egner born in the old homestead at Faber, KY, the house my great-great-grandfather built. This land was patented by Samuel Egner who was born in German 1793." I am sorry that I have never entered the data from the Underwood book into my genealogy base. I did enter the information my father had separately on the Egners. So if you need information on the Egners in Whitley Co. up to recent times, I probably have it. Kathy, Since this came only to me, I am forwarding to the list. Which you should get since you are now a subscriber. Can you tell us what counties Craig Moor andWilsonberg are in? That will help figure out which line yours is most likely from, then we can go from there. Doris, does any of this sound familiar from Andrew's clan? I have a feeling this may be part of our mystery Egner in Monroe County: Charles Egner who married Sarah Morris in 1852. --Celia L. Born, I guess, in late 1860's or early 1870's. Had brothers named John and Charlie. Sister named Lliza(married a Winters), Daisy, Dane(married Davis), and possibily another sister names gay. Fanny married James Wright and raised a large family(my grandfather)in Wilsonburg. Supposedly her parents were from "Old Virginia". Don't know parents names. Thanks Kathy, Cinti, Oh.
