Patsy: That Andrew Egnor (m Susan Harris) is the grandson of John Agner (Jr.) that went to Monroe Co. (from Rockbridge) with his 3rd wife--Polly (Mary). Doris
Celia: I've never come across these names---but you know how MANY Agner's are out there so you never know--but you DO know that we'll try to find who they belong to (dangling preposition--I know)!!!! I'll keep an eye out too. Doris
Is the info. from Charlotte Fleming from the census or county marriage records? This could indeed be the same family. My ggrandfather James Wright's mother's was named Ann, as this record says, but not sure about father's name. James and Fanny would have been married just at this date. That's why I'm wondering what primary source of info. is. Gratefully, KathyS.

THANKs for great info. I'm trying to research Fanny Egner, married to James Wright because I have no info. at all except pictures of her and what James Wright's grandaughter wrote down years ago, only accurate as her memory. Born in Craig Moor , married James Wright there. Didn't know Fanny's parents. Thought they were from "Old Va." Had sisters Liza married to Doris Winters . Sister Daisy. Sister Dana married to John Davis. Also hadBrothers John and Charlie. I know more about James Wright's family from Wilsonburg because my father remembers all of them and visited. Haven't search primary records yet. How did you e-mail Harrison Co? Can one get info. from them that way?? Wonder if these people are connected. Thanks for your help. --part1_4c.4c64af75.25a7c074_boundary--

Is there any way your list can be put into a digest form? I personally do not like receiving so many small messages each day, when they could be condensed into one message a day. Thanks BL Brown
Dave, you helped some more, Now I understand the mixup on Mary Polly, The 1850 Whitley Co., KY census shows her as Polly while the 1860 census shows her as Mary. By the way, where is the cemetary since you have been there and seen the tombstones? Were there other Enger/Egnors buried there? Perhaps Jacob who appears to have died early. What is your link? My wife's linnage is from Jacob and Elizabeth's son Samuel. Looking forward to hearing from you. Jim Davis
Believe me, I do plan to respond to the questions you have asked, but I have been sick, and right now I am trying to catch up on the things I didn't do while I was sick. Get with you soon. Evelyn
Hi, I am new to the list and excited to find out it exists. Here is my story, which takes place in Rockbridge County, VA, and my query: My ggrandmother, Harriet Emma Cummings had my grandfather out of wedlock by an Agnor when she was 18 years old. She eventually married ANOTHER Agnor(Samuel P.) at the age of 26 and had children by him. Family tradition has it that the first rogue was relatively well-to-do and had a horse and buggy of his own. Tradition holds that he had not one, but THREE girls pregnant more or less simultaneously, Harriet Emma being one of them. I would like to know if there are any other similar stories out there that might turn up this gggrandfather of mine. I would also like to know more about the family history of Samuel P. Agnor, although there are no bloodlines in my family from him. gstene@hotmail.com ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
Re:Fanny Egner,Craig Moor, West Va. Where is your line from? Since my Fanny married James Wright about this same time. Fanny/Hannah are similar. Kathy
----- Original Message ----- From: James D. Davis <jddavis@flash.net> > Samuel Newberry Egnor Does anyone know where the name Newberry comes in? I'd be curious to know if it is referring to the Newberry District of South Carolina where a Mathias Egner died in 1844? --Celia :o)
