The Meridith name is very familiar to me and I have heard my Dad and Grandmother talk about the Willaford's. They pronounced it Willa-ferd. This is very interesting. Malinda, my g-grandmother, died when Grandma, Frances Caroline Harkey was in the first grade or possibly 6 yrs. of age. Then William Anderson Harkey remarried.
