    1. [EDM] Edmondsons in Maryland Memorial Weekend 2000

    3. "The Sun" Baltimore Maryland Sunday May 28 2000 featured an article plus photos of Edmondson family from Pottsville PA visiting Gabler's Shore Restaurant in Harford Cty MD for Maryland blue crab for the Memorial Weekend. Titled "It's mallet-raising time" Brenda Edmondson and family made a three hour pilgrimage to the land of Chesapeake blue crabs with family and friends from Pottsville PA It's a great article and quoting Brenda "Who wants to bang crabs in some fancy restaurant? They're supposed to be eaten on paper on the picnic table by the water with beer" John and read this with delight as we have just relocated to the Eastern Shore and love this delight! John Harold Carr descends from John Edmondson of Talbot Cty MD. These folks today got their crabs from St. Michaels -- near Easton where John of Talbot lived in the 1600s. We are sure John of Talbot enjoyed a similar feast -- minus the beer! -- the Quaker, he was. Our best to all Edmondsons this Memorial Day Weekend, John and Saundra Carr
