No AKLES or MORFORDS that early, but I'll keep my eyes open while I'm here. I am in Ohio for the months of April, May and June to help care for my mother-in-law, and am just two miles from Brown County [near Marathon in Clermont County] No chance the EVANS name came from Brown County, is there? The one in-law of John EDMISTEN I've not been able to find in the1850 census is Martha REED who married Lewis EVANS in Highland County before 1837 and resided in Lewis Township, Brown County, OH in 1840. The will of Susannah STILLIN REED is an absolute gem, in that she names all her children...and their spouses, and where they lived....and each kid had to go to some other kid's house to pick up their pots, pans, horses or whatever.
