Bill, I have some information I picked up a couple of years ago from a man who simply had old Edmundson family information which states that James' father was John Edmundson b. 1710 in Craven County, NC who married Mary Cullen. John was the son of Joseph Edmundson and Priselow . Joseph was the son of Thomas. That link appears to fit. It may be that his family had gotten this information from the Agee book that Nancy Wood refers to. He did say they had gotten it from an old book. Cissy
