Joan, I wish it were Irvin! But there are John Irbin, Irbin Finley and Irbin Elbert that I have found so far. The Irbin Surname is so rare, there are only seven listed in the SS death index. An elderly relative (who had never seen it written) wrote "Erbin" as her ancestor's name. I chased that version for a long time. Thank you very much for your input.
