Nancy, I have been researching the Lunenburg County Deeds where Benjamin was very active in buying and selling real estate. Two of the Deeds mention Mary the wife of Benjamin. One deed is dated June 8, 1786 when Mary Witnessed the sale of land from Wm. Chambers and Sarah to William Hardy. The second deed is dated April 11,1787 from George & Susannah Hightower of Campbell County and Benjamin & Mary Edmundson of Lunenburg to Thomas Hamlin. The deed further states that Mary, the wife of Benjamin Edmundson, came into court and relinquished her right of dower. I guess anything is possible, but do we think this is the same Benjamin that married Keziah Hood in Mecklenburg County in October 1785 and six months later he married Mary (last name unknow)before June 8, 1786 and then later married Martha Tomlinson in Lunenburg in 1791? Is there another Benjamin that hasn't been accounted for in Lunenburg? Nancy, this is probably how we had Mary Tomlinson instead of Martha. Charolette Edmonson Sage
