Need help locating Kathryn Gavan - and Edmondson researcher who has posted on GenForum and Rootweb, etc. All the emails addresses for her are no longer any good. Am hoping one of you has been in contact and has a more recent address or a phone number. I have even made numerous calls to Gavan in the area of the country that one of her email addresses was from - NO luck. She posted on a Richard Edmondson in Tennesse who had a brother named Philip Edmondson. I suspect that either this Richard or Philip is the break that I am need to solve the mystery of my Philip P. Edmondson b. 1801 in SC, and who left Bedford County, TN to purchase land in Alabama around 1820. On the 1830 and 1840 Census, there is still a Philip Edmondson there, and also a Richard. Have tried following this Richard - and all trails lead to Kathryn - and she has disappeared. The problem in Tennessee is that Bedford County was a "burned" county - and not many records left there to help me. I have someone in Bedford County who is at the moment copying ALL Edmondson references in the 1800-1830 time period to hopefully lead to a new clue or two. (so far Philip's name has only appeared as a surety - this would be the older Philip - not mine b. 1801) Was hoping some of the other Edmondson names she finds will help. Hoping someone on here knows something about Kathryn Gavan!!!
