Gayla, I really need more proof to establish my relationship to SW Edmonson. My great grandfather was Davis James Edmonson. The David Jimmy listed as the son of S.W. was born in 1847 however doesn't show up with them on the 1850 census rolls. He does appear with them on the 1860 census as a 12 year old boy. My David James was apparently born about 1851 to a man named Samuel in TN. whoes married to a woman also born in TN. The father, Samuel Washington Edmonson was born in VA which matches. If anyone can solve my little delema I certainly would be beholden. Last month when I joined this mailing list, a ancestor of Adeline Edmonson's contacted me via e-mail. I would like to contact him, but have lost him e-mail address. I would love to have Adeline's descendat tree to add to mine. I am related to Samuel through his older son Richard H. Edmonson Martha McMurray. By the way, does anyone know when Martha McMurray died? Richard remarried (Mary Unknown)by the time he reached Panola Co. Tx in the 1870 Census and had two children from his new wife. > > I would love to collaborate with anyone associated with Samuel Washington Edmonson's ancestors or descendants. > > Gayla > meteapots@ivillage.com > Fort Worth, TX > > _________________________________________________________________ > iVillage.com: Solutions for Your Life > Check out the most exciting women's community on the Web > http://www.ivillage.com > > ==== EDMONDSON Mailing List ==== > Edmondson Family Association: Do you subscribe?
