Well, it seems that I have made my first mistake! :) Anyway, I found the reply to my request, and I have figured out why I did not receive the Edmondson file that I requested. Seems that I requested the Smith file which mentions the Edmondsons. I then stated that I was related to Thomas Edmondson. So, the researcher determined that there was no Thomas mentioned, so she replied the following: The South Carolina Historical Society August 2, 2000 Dear Ms. Leite, I received your request for research. In looking through all the 30-4 Smith files I was not able to locate a reference to Thomas Edmundson. If there is any thing else we can do for you please let us know. Sincerely, Kathryn Meehan So if you want the file, do not tell them who you are related to or you will not get a copy of the file. I specifically requested a copy of the file. Julia Florida/USA
