Hello all! Think I started this with my puesdo request! So will try to take part. I worked back from my Dad to his g'Mom, who turned out to be Martha EDMONDSON daughter of Wm.C. & wife,Sarah Rogers. Orvan recognized Wm.C. & supplied me with his ancestors back to Ireland at same time someone else discovered a tree with basically the same info so that's 2 sources which means to me that i must not have much work left to do!!! Was also that lucky with my Rogers line so can concentrate on getting documents to back up my sources & on finding alive kin..Here's the scoop: 1-Robert Edmiston b.ca.1700 in Kings Co.,Ireland,d.ca.1750 in Staunton,Augusta Co.,Va.(Orvan's source, genealogy compiled by Walt & Max Edmondson) My other source just says Max. Robt. m.Agnes Jean Thompson ca.1720. 2- James Edmundson,b.1724 in Chester Co. or in Lancaster Co.,PA.(My Rogers kin were also briefly in Pa)d.1793 in Wilkes Co.,NC.(Rogers were in Buncombe Co.,NC)source,NC Will Bk.#1,pg.372-391. m.Sarah Smith Hayes March 1748/9 in Staunton,Augusta Co.,Va. She d.1792 in Amherst,Va. 3-Wm.Edmonson b.1759 in Augusta Co.,Va. d.Oct.21,1847 in Wilkesboro,NC.source,Bernice Little records. m.Mgt.Suddereth Blair ca.1780 in Morganton,Wilkes Co.,NC. 4-Robert,again! b.1783,Morganton,Va.d.Dec.1865 in Stockhill Community,Fannin Co.,Ga.m. Mary(Polly)Harris June 14,1813,also in Va. another marr.date to confuse us! June11,1813....This Robt was Pa to my Wm.C.b.1822 in Buncombe,NC. & d. July 7,1810 in the battle of Peach Tree Creek,Ga during service re: CW.His future son-in-law's Dad,Curtis Oliver, also d. in the war in Ga. Their kids had 12 off-spring that inc. my g'ma Fannie Oliver Hunt...Alive today are Fannie's 8 g'kids, & many gg'kids..& some ggg'kid..Are you confused by this unprofessional presentation? Hope not as I've yet to learn the pro way! What I want for the immediate future is documents like d.c., census, war records & living kin to compare notes with...Later I'll tackle Ireland! Thanks,Dot Hunt in NJ
