    3. Hi Mark, I am not sure exactly which area of Manchester you are particularly intersted in. My own interest in the name(s) EDMUNDSON/EDMONDSON/EDMONSON originate in Burnley, and later spread out to Ashton-u-Lyne, Stalybridge, and Dukinfield. I don't know if you are familiar with these areas, I can't tell from your address where you are located. Briefly, Burnley is (very) roughly 80 km (?) north of M/c. Ashton, Stalybridge and Dukinfield lie about 10 km east of M/c. If you think we are covering the same area, please get back to me and we can compare notes. Kind regards, Roy, In a cloudy cool Paraparaumu, NZ. 3. Anybody looking for Edmos in the Manchester and Burnley area of England might find the history "Edmondsons of Briercliffe with Extwistle" by Mrs Bernie Baker interesting. You can find it on my always-to-be-worked-on-but-never-to-be-finished Edmondson site at www.edmondson.org.uk/briercliffe/ Regards Rick Edmondson

    1. [EDM] Wiley Edmundson son of Bryant
    2. Becky Cowen-Cornelius
    3. Warm greetings Edmundson/Edmondson Cousin's, I received notification from DAR in regards to my application today. Seems I have a small snag in proving that Wiley Edmundson is indeed one of the son's of Bryant Edmundson (son of Lt. James Edmundson) . You have all been so helpful to me in the past that once again I am asking for your help. I submitted the two articles written by F C Johnson III, "Troup County GA and Her People" and "Histories of LaGrange and Troup County, GA". In these Mr Johnson has that Wiley was indeed one of the sons of Bryant and his wife Smitha Williams. The DAR would like another source of proof. Does anyone know if Bryant Edmundson had a will? Or does anyone perhaps have access to the 1820 census of Georgia? I would be looking for Bryant Edmunson as head of household with a male child between the ages of 9-11. I appreciate any help or advice you could give me. Warm regards, Becky Cowen-Cornelius (Alaska but in Louisiana for awhile)

    2. I found this in the McMurray Archives while trying to find any messages pertaining to Richard H. Edmonson & Martha J. McCurry: John Thompson BRIDGES (Robertson County, TN) P.O. Box 8137, Glendale, AZ 85312-8137 ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` List of People Owning Land in The Borden Tract The Borden Tract was established about 1736 in the Valley of Virginia, known today as the Shenandoah Valley. The map I took this data from is a reproduction that is sold by Lexington Historical Society. Borden got the rights to develop 500,000 acres of land in this area. This area took in a large portion of what is Augusta and Rockbridge Counties, VA, today. Some were already here before Borden began to develop it. I have listed the names of the land owners and date and number of acres to them. The names may appear more than once. 3. Dear Joan and Phylis The Edmonstones in Scotland have been published several times in the EFAB. I also did an article after visiting Duntreath in 1996 and receiving a tour from the current Laird. Duntreath is north of Glasgo. I wonder how Archibald Edmonstone is doing. When I was there it appeared that he had very high blood pressure with a very red complextion. I would appreciate a few copied pages of the article just in case it is one that has not already been reported on. Regards Orvan Edmonson, editor of the EFAB I have been quite behind on printing the EFAB this summer. Am still working on the July issue. I have some material from Joan that I am planning to use. 3. Hello Phyllis, I have been so gratful for the copy of the book you sent to me, "Lairds of Ednem and Duntreath". This has solved many, many issues in this family. My husband and I are going to Scotland in September and wondered if you might have any idea on where I might find a Hard copy? Where did you say you found yours? I have forgotten, are you a member of the Edmonstone family? Look forward to hearing from you.
