Family tradition has it that there were hard times after Miles left, and my gGrandfather went to Logan county WV to work in the coal mines. That worked out well for me however, for if he hadn't, then he never would have met Maude Walsh and my grandmother never would have been born. I would like to know more details on Miles, such as where he was born and who were his parents. spike [email protected] or [email protected] Replying here is good too; other inquiring minds want to know. s Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My ggGrandfather was Miles Edmondson, first wife Bethany Damron, who parented Frank Edmonson. Miles' second wife's name was Brooke Browning, with whom he had three more children. He married Bethany and had several children; he left her more than once and was married at the very least to Bethany and to Brookie;. The year Miles left Bethany for good, these children are listed in the house on the census along with Bethany: Amos, Frank, John, Alex, Harry, Arnold, Nervie, Theodore, Mary. Arnold is my grandfather. He was 12 at the time and went into the coal mines to help support the family when Miles left. No one ever knew what happened to him till a few weeks ago when I found the death certificate. We would really love to know about the Edmistons in PA and find out about his family there! I wrote to someone in PA who said they did research but we have not heard anything. My mom would be so happy to know anything about her dad's family.
