He married Hannah Rachel He had two sons among others, David (b.1834) and John (b.1823) John had a son called David (b.1869) David the elder (b. 1834)had a daughter called Mary Ann (Known as Poly)(b.1863) David the younger (b.1869) married his first cousin Poly (b.1863) in 1891 One of their children was Maggie Kezia my grandmother. She married Joseph Thomson. The upshot of this, is that I have 2 edgeworth lines of descent, both tracing back to Joseph. This line had moved north from the Cotswolds to Birmingham where I grew up. I now live just down the road in Coventry. Where are you? I'd love to get the details of your side of the family.
