After a visit to Gloucester Record Office I have a large number of EDGEWORTH/EDGWORTHs from the PRs - Baptisms 1726-1847, Marriages 1754-1837 & Burials 1755-1844. I don't think they're connected to my Bristol EDGEWORTHs, but if anyone on the list would like a copy I'll send them on. Hi Fran, I also have my line which was based in Bristol: My gggm was Catherine EDGEWORTH [1817-1911]. Her parents were Thomas & Hester EDGEWORTH [nee EVERSON]. I'm 95% certain that Thomas's parents were Henry & Celia EDGEWORTH [nee DAVIS] but there's a slight mismatch between my Thomas's age recorded at his burial & the date of birth of H & C's Thomas recorded at baptism. Henry left money in his will for his son Thomas to be apprenticed & my Thomas was a glassmaker & would have served an apprenticeship. Henry was a Mathematical Instrument Maker [I've a lot of info on him] who came from Ireland & was probably distantly related to the novelist Maria EDGEWORTH. I've also got info on Catherine's brothers some of whom were glassmakers & publicans. This is still work in progress, but I can let you have more if it's of interest. Where does your line fit in?
