Funny that all the girls married a Joseph. As you say Ann married Joseph Rogers , Mary married Joseph Robbins and Eliza married Joseph Butlin. Did you know that John and his brother James (and their father Thomas b 1773) were all involved in the Swing Riots? John and Thomas were found not guilty or guilty and sentenced to short terms and James was transported on the Eliza to van diemans land (Tasmania) for 7 years. Also you will love this :-) our Thomas born 1773 lived to a ripe old age of 88 and died 3 Jan 1857, according to the coroner of "exposure to damp and cold after having drunk freely a few days previously!!! Sounds like he had a great new year. John had also served time for "feloniously stealing a duck!!" great stuff. Hope this helps unless of course you already know about it. Where are you based now?
