VALERIE (EATON) MARCK Colorado Springs, Colorado December 21, 1942 June 24, 2018 Valerie (Eaton) Marck, passed away on June 24, 2018. She was born to Ruthy and Alfred Eaton on December 21, 1942. Valerie attended Victor High School then Blair Business College. Most of her working career was spent in the electronic assembly field, where she had the opportunity to work on components for the space shuttle. Valerie loved to ride motorcycles, crochet, garden, she tried her hand at homesteading, spent time as a trucker, was a balloon chaser and a body builder, learned to fly a Cessna airplane, rode a snowmobile in Alaska, went caribou hunting and fishing there too. She is survived by her children, Judith Prothero (Gregory), William Snare, and Pilar Lovato (Christ-opher); her sister, Sherae Zajicek; brother, Larry Eaton; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 12:00p.m. on July 2nd, at Alternative Cremation and Funeral Service, 2377 N. Academy Boulevard in Colorado Springs. A small reception will follow. Published in The Gazette on July 1, 2018 Richard Rab Eaton Dover, New Hampshire Jan 5, 1946 – Jun 23, 2018 U.S. Veteran Somersworth- Richard “Rab” Eaton, 72, of Colonial Village died at his home on Saturday June 23, 2018. Born January 5, 1946 in Manchester, the son of Caroll T. and Rita S. (Tremblay) Eaton. He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He went on to work for General Electric for 30 years. Rab was a life member at the American Legion Post 47 in Rollinsford. He also served as the former Canteen Committee Chairman there and for over 10 years he was employed as their bookkeeper. Rab enjoyed playing poker with the boys. He also enjoyed his pizza nights with “the girls”. While enjoying playing golf in his younger years, later in life he loved watching it on tv. He also loved watching Netflix in his lounge chair that was draped by his Quilt of Valor that he was so proudly awarded for his service. Rab was a generous soul and gave often and plenty to many worthy causes. Richard is survived by his brother Paul R. Eaton and his wife Lynne of Barrington; a nephew Ryan Eaton of Barrington; a niece Robin Dinicola; great nephews; and many, many close friends. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday June 30, 2018 at 10am at St. Michaels Cemetery in Rollinsford, NH. Following the graveside a celebration of life will be held at the Rollinsford American Legion. Nancy Lee (Carter) Eaton Pocasset, Massachusetts Nancy Lee (Carter) Eaton, of Pocasset, formerly of Needham, died peacefully surrounded by loving family Sunday, June 24th at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich. She was 84 years old. Born and raised in Needham, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Beulah (Martin) Carter. Nancy was a graduate of Needham High School and Colby-Sawyer College. Nancy worked for many years as a legal secretary for William Bowers and especially enjoyed her time working at Taylor's Stationery in Needham Center. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Needham until 1999 when she and Dick retired to Pocasset, MA and Holmes Beach, FL. Nancy was a member of the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with Dick and their four children at the Needham Pool and Racquet Club. Affectionately known as 'Nan' to her grandchildren, she never missed an opportunity to spend quality time with them, whether in Florida, Cape Cod, or simply being there to attend their soccer or baseball games and the many dance and music recitals. Nancy Lee is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard Warren Eaton and her oldest son, William W. "Bill" Eaton. She is survived by her three living children; Richard C. Eaton and his wife, Kathy of Asheville, NC, Gary L. Eaton of Medfield and his former wife, Elinor of Dover, Janice Hobaica and her husband, David of Mansfield, and William's wife, Kathy of Warwick, RI. Nancy was the grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 5. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church, 800 Highland Ave., Needham on Saturday, June 30 at 12:00 pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
