Hello: I just subscribed to this list and I hope to fill in a few gaps in my family research. My great grandmother Elizabeth McInroe, born Upper Canada 1841, married a Charles Edward Johnston. Where or when they met and married is unknown. All that is known is that they had one son George Johnston. It is also known that Charles was born in the US as was son George. (The 1861 census for Upper Canada spelled the name MacEnrue and it could also have been McInrue or McEnroe.) In trying to locate a Charles Edward Johnston born around 1841 I discovered a Charles Edward Johnston born 1835 in New Westbury, MA. and his father was Edward Johnston born 1793, New Brunswick, Canada. Edward Married Judith B. Eaton in 1832 in New Westbury, MA, US Does this information match any research that other Eaton surname researchers have on record.
