I am researching the Eaton family in the Rear of Leeds and Lansdowne in Ontario,Canada. The family lived in the Seeley's Bay area and most are buried in the Lillies Baptist Cemetery and Olivet Cemetery. My mother's maiden name,Myrtle May Eaton b June15 1915, still alive. 2nd Gen:Leonard Almond Eaton b June 2 1871 d May10 1938 and m Laura Amanda Kenny b Nov10 1886 d Aug13 1969 3rd Gen:Almond Leonard Eaton b 1834 m Elizabeth and dau'r Mary E.b1875 d Jan26 1896 4th Gen:Barzel Eaton deeded land to Almond Nov24 1906 Barzel b 1830 1810 Census lists Jabez&Sally Eaton:children;Chancy,Hyram,Leonard,Sally,Minervy b1830 d 1834 Chancy b 1801 m Jane White dau'rs;Eliza Ann and Sarah Jane 1881 Census lists Scottish decent. I would appreciate any info re:siblings, dates of birth and deaths, old newspaper articles etc. I have been told they came from Glasgow and came over via the Mayflower 1620,later as UEL's came to Canada. The book, Rear of Leeds and Lansdowne 1796-1996 claims they came from Vermont,Scotland,Ireland, and Wexford England. Perhaps they came directly over, this is a "grey" area that I would need to have input on. Thanks in advance, Allen,Kingston,Ontario
