The mention of David Eaton of Massachusetts in the 1700s caught my attention--first because that's my name, but more because I have not made the Massachusetts connection for my ancestor Joshua S. Eaton born 1791 in MA. I don't think I have posted all this info about him since I found it this past summer at the library, so here it is (anyone recognize Joshua or his 3 wives)? Roy Eaton had said Orlando had a sibling who married a PALMER. 1 EATON Orlando Buell, born 19 May 1853 in OH, died AFT 1880 in Near UnionCo,OH. Buried in Lewisburg (NE ChampaignCo,OH). Owned property on what is now Rt 33 and Honda Pkwy near Holycross-Epps Rd (near Pottersburg,UnionCo,OH). 1880: AllenTwp, UnionCo,OH [census]. Walter/Roy Eaton said he came to Ohio after the civil war (but this seems to be incorrect). There is an Orlando Eaton in 1850 Vermont census (LamoCo,Cambridge)--a coincidence, it seems.
