<On 19 Nov 1997 Jean Shanelec wrote regarding David EATON> Dear Jean: Both of us are interested in your Wed. 19 Nov. posting re. David EATON. Dick has two EATON women in his ancestry: 1) Jemima (ca1774-1826) m. ca 1795 Enoch HAWKINS (1765-aft1828), lived in Chenago and Broome Cos, NY; her parents the subject of a long, vain search. 2) Mary-3 (ca1668-1746) (Daniel-2, William-1), very uncertainly documented. Isabel is tracing for a friend: Abigail-7 EATON (William-6, William-5, John-4, John-3, John-2, John-1. Are we treading common ground anywhere? Isabel is also wondering if we have any connection in Sutton, NH-Tunbridge, VT: her Jonathan ROBERTS received land in Tunbridge in 1782, died there 1 Jan 1806; his widow, Hannah, died aft. 5 Apr 1810 when she signed a deed. Are they the Jonathan-4 & Hannah (-?-) ROBERTS (Jonathan-3 & Deliverance (SMITH), John-2, George-1) in East Andover, NH until 1780 - also in Salisbury, NH, and perhaps in Sutton with his good friend Rev. Nathaniel KING? I have my line down from the Tunbridge Jonathan, and some data on the NH Jonathan, but can't prove they are the same man! Samuel EATON witnessed Jonathan's will, 19 Mar 1805. Are any of these people familiar to you? Looking forward to hearing from you, Dick & Isabel Coburn
