However, we got to thinking "Why don't we offer some workshops with a holiday theme this year?" For example, many countries celebrate Christmas but in very different ways, while some cultures observe different holidays. A short workshop offering global perspectives on the holiday season would be fascinating and informative. Also, many people have lost the holiday spirit and find this time of the year depressing. What can we do at VU to help restore the magic and beauty of this special time? If you would like to teach a short course or organize some other activity with a holiday flavor at the Virtual U in November and December, submit a proposal at <http://www.vu.org/create.html> or e-mail your proposal to <Programs@VU.org> If you don't feel you are qualified to teach but you have an idea for a class or other holiday event that might interest your fellow students, please e-mail suggestions to <Programs@VU.org>. =================================================================== How to Subscribe, Unsubscribe, or Change Your Address (5) =================================================================== To receive this bi-weekly calendar and other Virtual U bulletins in your Internet mailbox, visit <http://www.vu.org/subscribe.html> and click the "Subscribe" option.
