Exactly 100 days from the passing of her husband, Emma Lou was back in the arms of her loving husband in their forever home. Emma Lou is leaving her legacy in the hearts of many. She is survived by her sons, Curtis Eaton and his wife Corrine; Roddy Eaton and his wife Barbara and Son in Law, Steve Chandler. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Plemons and his wife Jennifer of Abilene; Michael Plemons and his wife Jana of Odessa; Kristin Groves of Odessa; Brandon of Dubai; Bradley Eaton of Houston; Erica Eaton of Edmond, Oklahoma and Kayla Weeden and her husband Landon of Odessa. She also leaves behind her 6 great granddaughters of Odessa and 1 great grandson of Abilene, TX, all whom brought her the most joy. Emma Lou will forever remain in our hearts as a mother and grandmother who loved each of us to her absolute fullest but most of all, loved the Lord with her every breath. She taught us to love with our whole hearts and demonstrated it daily with her gentle touch and contagious giggle. As Emma Lou would always say when our days were hard, and the storm would come, "Remember, this too shall pass." We will see you in a minute. The family would like to thank Dr. Parsons and Caren Anderson for their devotion to Emma Lou's care. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Brigmon of Medical Center Hospital and Jane, RN on 8C. The level of compassion and care given was a blessing to our family during this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. To send family condolences please visit our guest registry at www.sunsetodessa.com. 1. [EATON] Eaton, Claude B son of George A Eaton & Elizabeth Ireland

    3. George A Eaton (1854-1918) Herkimer Co.- Oneida Co., Elizabeth B Ireland (1855-abt 1919) NY Claude Brudenell Eaton, b. 9 Sep 1879, Capron, Oneida Co., NY - unknown when he passed. m. Elizabeth Shaughnessy (1882-1949), 13 Jun 1900, New York Mills, Oneida Co. My paternal Great Grandparents, son Clifford Franklin may have been born as an Eaton, 31 Mar 1903, Utica, Oneida Co. Researching 24 years Clifford Franklin Begnal, d. 15 Mar 1960, So. San Francisco, San Mateo Co., CA in the line of Duty, and what I thought to be his Begnal Lineage, is not. As of 29 Dec 2016, a 2nd Cousin Rockwell wrote "/found what appears to be the solution to the conundrum you mention about Clifford Franklin Begnal parentage.   Your research and instincts were right.  Clifford’s parents were not Lizzie Shaughnessy and George Begnal.  It turns out that Lizzie had a previous marriage. On June 13, 1900, she married Claud[e?] B. Eaton, and this union gave birth to Clifford Franklin in 1903./" Thus 25 yrs later now begins a new Chapter in the continuation of who really was Clifford Franklin's biological Father. Of course I would like to connect to Descendants of George A Eaton & Elizabeth B Ireland, Osse Eaton Jr & Mercy Ann Penner, Ossee Eaton Sr & Hannah Pooler, in learning more. Wishing to confirm Claude B Eaton as my paternal great-grandfather, before getting my hopes up again, only to learn different as I had with the Begnal lineage. Today marks the 17th year of my First Rootsweb Post 10 Apr 2001 Claude B Eaton - drdocyoung.com/Eaton/  which also contains Clifford Franklin (1903-1960) and my Father Newton Richard Begnal/Richard N. Young (1924-1995) & Uncle Clifford Anthony Begnal/Young (1923-2012).  Neither my Uncle or Father knew their Father, nor myself until 1968, then in 1993, I learned of Clifford Franklin. I completed AncestryDNA test 13 Dec 2016, and thus far have not connected to either Begnal or Eaton Cousins. Thank you for any information/connection to the Eaton's. Doc -- Regards, D.R. Their are so many repeated names in my family, like Joseph Thomas, and Martha. My William G. Eaton could have been the son of your William and Isabelle Gillespie. My William G. was born in Tennessee in 1817. He married an Annis Hendriks abt 1836; married Mary Bibee abt 1846. His children were: John J. Eaton, born 1838, then Thomas Jackson 1844 - 1925; Joseph Franklin 1846 - 1928; William A. 1848 - ; Amanda 1849 - 1932; Charles F. 1852 - ; and Martha 1855 - . My William G. did travel via Missouri to Oregon and settled in Lane County. He is buried in Rest Lawn Cemetery in Junction City, Lane, OR. It was his son Thomas Jackson that is my great great grandfather. I have searched and search for my William's parents and / or siblings. Do you think we are connected? He was supposedly born Aug 1855 in NYC. He married Ella Marian Mott, March 1880 in Rhode Island. On the marriage record, James' parents were listed as William and Annie Eaton. My grandmother said he had a brother William as well. Ella and James' home was in Barrington, RI. James died April 10, 1907 in NYC. I always wondered why he wasn't in RI with his wife. I just received his death certificate and the parents are "unknown" but his occupation is listed as "dry goods" and in the city directory he is listed as "dry goods jobber" whatever that is. His death location was 362 72nd street in Brooklyn. He was listed in the NYC city directory as being at 313 Church. On his RI death record, it says his parents were James H. and Annie F. Eaton. So I'm not sure if William or James is his father's name. My James did have a son named James however. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F8JK-8JV Any ideas how I can find his parents with the limited info I have? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
