LEGER, James L. "Big Jim" age 60 of Milford Township passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at University Hospital, Cincinnati. He was born on October 9, 1948 in Happy Top, Kentucky, the son of William and the late Myrna (Thomas) Leger. Jim was a 1967 graduate of Fairfield High School. He worked several years at Pease Woodworking Company and then became an ironworker and member of Local #44, retiring in 2003. His favorite and passionate hobby over the years was to attend trap and skeet shoots. On March 22, 1968 in Hamilton, he married Vicki L. Hurst. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Leger; two loving children who adored their father, Christianne (Terry) Roberts of Fairfield and James Ray Leger of Milford Township; his father, William Leger of Hamilton; mother-in-law, Anna Mae Hurst of Hamilton; sister, Donna Dozier of Hamilton; brother, Bill (Beverly) Leger of Indian Springs; sister-in-law Diane Bowling of Hamilton; brother-in-law Buddy (Denise) Hurst of Trenton; seven! nieces and nephews, Anna Marie, Jeff, Lorie, John, Lisa, Dawn Marie, and Curt; his very loving canine companion, Josie Jo, who will miss Jim terribly; and many loving and special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother, father-in-law, and two brothers-in-law. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Jerry Pascarella of Pentecostal Highway of Holiness officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
