YATES Violet Mae Yates, age 99, died Monday, December 22, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Violet was born on the family farm in Fulton, Ohio on April 16, 1909 the daughter of Jessie L. (Alexander) and William Perkins. She grew up on the farm and attended school in Fulton. During WWII, Violet worked for Curtiss-Wright. She worked as a cashier at the A&P Grocery Store, retiring after 23 years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband Theodore A. Yates, her children Patricia Vollmuth and Thomas McDonald. Violet is survived by her daughter, Mary Ferguson; daughter-in-law, Hilde McDonald; son-in-law, Donald Vollmuth; step-daughter, Donna (Joseph) Richichi; grandchildren, John (Marcia) McDonald, Steve (Cori) Vollmuth, Maryann Miller, Sherylanne Vollmuth, David Ferguson and Brian Ferguson; and her beloved pet pug Buttons. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
