DURBIN, Ruth "Sister" age 91 of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2008. She was born in Beattyville, KY to the late Wilgus and Bertie Mae Begley. She is also preceded in death by her husband Halver Durbin; granddaughter, Kelly Ann James and sisters, Elizabeth Horn and Lucinda Combs. She is survived by her son, Herbert (Joan) Durbin; daughters, Diana (Stephen) McDowell, Judy (Mike Sr.) James; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) James Jr., Tracey (Scott) McDowell-Melowic, Angela Durbin; great-grandchildren, Danielle James, Mike James III, Brandon James, Rae Melowic, Reid Melowic; sisters, Viola Tharp, Betty Hollon; brothers, John Begley, Herbert Begley and Bill Begley. Ruth was a graduate of Lees College and taught at various schools in Kentucky. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, December 15, 2008 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. with Pastor Don Payne officiating.
