Bright, Virgie C., age 83, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton with family by her side on Monday, December 8, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Carnes (stepmother Laura) and mother, Quillie Patterson; brother, Granville Carnes; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth (Parker) Mills and half sisters, Wanda Broughton and Nora Swaford. Virgie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul; daughters and son-in-laws, Vickie (Lee) Test of Bellbrook and Debbie (Jamie) Fisher and grandchildren Lindsay and Ryan of Beavercreek; nephew and spouse, James (Gail) Mills of Englewood, and half-sister and spouse, Doris (Nasby) Mills of Barbourville, KY. Virgie was born and raised in Knox County, Dewitt, KY and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University. She taught school in Knox County KY, Trotwood Madison, and retired from Ferguson Jr. High in Beavercreek with 30 years of service. Virgie was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother and always put her family first. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
