    2. COX, George 86, of Urbana, died at 9:46 A.M. Sunday, December 21, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medical Center High Street Campus. He was born September 8, 1922 in Washington C. H. a son of J. Martin and Mabel J. (Kidd) Cox. George was a 1940 graduate of Washington High School, attended Myrtle Tree Baptist Church, was a member of Urbana First Baptist Church, a 60 year member of Harmony Lodge # 8 F. & A.M., and a 60 year member of Urbana Chapter #530 Order of the Eastern Star. He had a 43 year career in retail clothing, working in Stadlers, Vogue Shop, The Metropolitan, Wren's and Lazarus. George enjoyed playing in several dance bands, most recently The Bob Circle Trio. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Norma (Snyder) whom he married on October 28, 1945; daughters, Cathy Music and her husband Norman R. of Mechanicsburg, Cyndi Rosales of Urbana; son, Dan Cox and his wife Kay of Kent, OH; grandson, Joe and Jesse Rosales; great granddaughter, Cailyn Rosales; a sister, Rosem! ary Darlington of West Jefferson; special friends Mark and Sheila Good of Urbana and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday December 26, 2008 in the Urbana First Baptist Church 401 N. Main St., Urbana, where funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, December 27, 2008 with Rev Clifford Kissinger and Rev Michael Parr officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. The casket bearers will be Joe, Jesse and Tony Rosales, Norman R. Music, Dan Cox and Mark Good. Contributions may be made in George's memory to the Cancer Association of Champaign County, P.O. Box 38125, Urbana, OH 43078 or to the American Lung Association, 226 State Rr. 61, Norwalk, OH 44857. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Emergency Room Staff at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Urbana and to the the Doctors and Nurses on the 2nd and 4th floors of the Springfield Regional Medical Center High Street Campu! s.
