GRIFFEY, RAYMOND G., was born May 18, 1927 in Olive Hill, KY and died on Thursday, December 18, 2008. Raymond served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He began his Army career in 1947 and is a retired Korean War veteran. He managed several Holiday Inns in Louisville and moved and settled in Cincinnati and worked as a manager of Clovernook County Club from 1982 until his retirement in 1996. Raymond is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alice (Phillips) Griffey; his daughters, Deborah Semenick-Carboy and Susan Zehnder, of Louisville; and three grandsons, Max Semenick and Christian and Austin Zehnder.
