Willie Collins, 76, of South Shore, Ky., died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. He was born March 16, 1932, in Glenn Allen, W.Va., a son of the late Tolbart Collins and Ella Hatfield Collins. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a lover of blue grass music and loved to play blue grass music and was retired from CSX Railroad after 38 years. Surviving are two sons and wives, Billy Ray (Sally) Collins of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Timothy Howard (Jennifer) Collins of South Shore; three daughters and husbands, Mary Alice (Richard) Hughes of Lucasville, Ohio, Crystal Dawn (Junior) Jenkins of Wurtland, Ky., and Diana (Bryan) Simpson of South Shore; one sister, Effie Adkins of Portsmouth; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Preceding him in death are one daughter, Marie Jeanette Collins; and five sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Gary Vaughn, minister officiating.
