MOORE Wilma Jean Moore, age 89, of West Jefferson, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 in Arbors West Care Center, West Jefferson. She was born February 6, 1919 in Chattaroy, West Virginia the daughter of the late Asbury and Mabel Ward. Wilma was a housewife and homemaker, graduated from Pikeville College, was a school teacher, was a member of the West Jefferson Senior Citizens and an avid CB operator with the call name "Kentucky Willie". She is survived by sisters, Marie Pelphrey of West Jefferson and Iris Blair of West Van Lear, Kentucky; and a brother, Ralph Ward of London; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, two sisters Thelma and Irene. Family and friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the RADER-MCDONALD FUNERAL HOME, West Jefferson, where Funeral Service will be held 3 p.m. Monday with Rev. Ron Tipton officiating.
