COMPTON William Ashley Compton, age 92, went home to be with the Lord on December 22, 2008 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio after an extended illness. He was born on October 27, 1916 in Louisa, Kentucky to John and Maude (Crank) Compton. Longtime member Evangel Temple Assembly of God. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife and mother of his daughter Hilda H. (Albino) Compton, wife Mary F. Compton, sisters Lockie Carver, Edythe Compton, Marie Pennington. He is survived by wife, Hilda E. Compton; sisters, Dixie McGuire, Lois (Ernie) LeBlanc, Elta Gonske; daughters, Beverly (Philip) Forsythe, Karen Kisling, Juanita Luginbuhl; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 26, 2008, 2 p.m., EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., where friends may call Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Pastor Eugene Speich officiating.
