He was an auto mechanic his entire life, he would know everything about everything to do with cars. My mother does indeed remember mudgrip tires, and the ad you are referring to. During this time there were? advertisements in magazines about a tire that had disc in?its tread.? I guess this was to keep the tread open and was supposed to improve traction in rain and brakng.?
