ATKINSON, Bonnie (Drake) age 94, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Garden Manor Retirement Community. She was born February 6, 1914 in High Falls, KY to William Alexander and Naomi (Proffitt) Drake. Bonnie was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Naomi Drake; husband, Ralph E. Atkinson; son Barry Blakney; brothers, Kearney and Roger Drake, sister, Madge Tolliver. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Doris Irwin of Middletown; son, Charles T. Blakney of Indiana; grandchildren, Virginia (Mike) Ward, Bonnie (Ed) Hemker, Russell Irwin and Holly Anderson; 9 great-grandchildren; 11 great- great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice (Bill) Huffman of Ladylake, FL and Betty (Rev. William J. ) Cox of Tulsa, OK. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Woodside Cemetery with Rev. Roger Green officiating.
