    2. PETTUS, Opal Lee Age 91, of Kettering, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Kettering Medical Center. Opal was born April 13, 1917 in Paxton, Kentucky to Zola (Childers) and Howard Vest. Opal was a member of VFW Womens Auxillary Post, (Smithville). She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Raymond King and Byron Pettus, sister Jean Vest, brother Woodrow Vest, daughter Phyllis (King) Clark, grandson Jeffrey Delong, and son-in-law Bill Delong. Opal is survived by her daughter Carolyn (King) Delong of Kettering, 3 grandsons Ivan and his wife Ann Clark of Boardman, Mike Clark and his fiance' Jackie of Beverly, David Clark and fiance' Candy of Waterford, granddaughter Pam (Delong) Minchew of Kettering, 9 great grandchildren Jessica & her fiance' Andrew, Austin, Tyler, Courtney, Dava, Devin, Ethan, Miranda and Peyton, 3 sisters Willa Mae Hurst, Vern Wray of both of Dayton, Lorene Dousay of Tennessee, 1 brother George Willard & his wife Maggie Vest of Louisianna, and! several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm, Sunday, November 16 at Conner & Koch Funeral Home, 92 West Franklin Street (S.R. 725), Bellbrook. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home. Rev. William Shadowens officiating. Interment in Bellbrook Cemetery.
