Folks, The KBI ( Kentucky Birth Index ) does not list Harry Bert Smith on it BUT I did manage to track down his brother Delmond and Nell as being born in Floyd Co.,KY. The mother is listed as Martha W. McGuire. Connie SMITH Harry Bert Smith left this life October 28, 2008 at his home in Ellenton, FL. Born February 6, 1938 in KY. Preceded in death by father George P. Smith, and mother Martha Washington McGueire-Smith. This beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend is survived by his wife, Doris Smith; sons, Scott (Jennifer) Smith and Sean "Bo" Smith; daughter, Kimberly Elcess; step-daughters, Chauntee and Cierra; brothers, Bluford "Buddy" (Helen) Smith, Bob (Shirley) Smith, Delman (Imogene) Smith, and Frank Smith; sister, Nell Caudill; grandsons, Blayne, Spenser, and Carmello; granddaughters, Jenesi and Tyra; beloved niece, Dawn Charice Frazier; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will sadly be missed by his best friend of many years, Michael F. Moran and family; along with hundreds of other friends and colleagues from LDM companies and affiliates. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Bert's life 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus, OH, ! where a memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2008.
