HENSLEY, Raleigh Age 86 of Darrtown passed away at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 1:45 PM. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on July 25, 1922 the son of William and Mattie (Baker) Hensley. Raleigh was employed as a welder repairman for General Motors for 32 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Oxford Masonic Lodge. On August, 20 1943 in Lebanon he married Evelyn Spivey. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Hensley of Darrtown; two sons, Raleigh S. (Barbara) Hensley of Waskom, Texas and Tracy (Sandy) Tipton of Mason; three grandchildren, Raleigh S. (LeAnn) Hensley, Timothy Hensley, and Lavonne (Floyd) Brandenburg; nine great-grandchildren, Raleigh S. Hensley, Terry Hensley, Lillian Hensley, Jennifer (Steven) Perry, Samantha Brandenburg, Jamie Hensley, Jordan Hensley, Shelby Hensley and Dalton Hensley; and two great-great- grandchildren, Joseph McCabe and Hannah Perry. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Maude ! Little and Patricia Mitchell, who helped raise him.
