RICHARDSON, Charles Clayton "Charlie" Age 92, of Jacksonburg, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at University Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Charlie was born June 28, 1916 in Clay City, Kentucky to Reuben Jesse and Nellie (Tipton) Richardson. He retired in 1978 from McGraw Construction after 42 years as a carpenter and welder. He was a member of the Jacksonburg United Methodist Church. He was an avid gardener and shared his vegetables with family and neighbors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, rock polishing and many other crafts. He was a member of F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge #159 of Camden, as well as the Eaton Chapter #22 and Preble Grand Council #135. He was 32nd degree Mason in the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. Charlie was proud to be a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of nearly 68 years and the love of his life, Ruth; 2 sisters, Lizzie and Francis; 6 brothers, Levi, John Dillard, George, Harry, Allen and Bill. He is sur! vived by sons, Eddy (Marilyn) of Eaton and Bill (Janet) of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Curtis, Lee, Jodi, Christa, Scott, Michelle and Tammy; six great grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; numerous step great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren; and sister, Janice "Junie" Cole. He is also survived by a very special brother-in-law, Richard of Jacksonburg. Funeral services will be Friday, November 14, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown with Reverend Deborah Richardson and Pastor Steve Weatherly officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the funeral home, with Masonic Services at 11:45 a.m. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis, Ohio.
