SKAGGS David Westen Skaggs, age 56, Circleville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 18th at 12:26 a.m. in Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Columbus. Born September 1, 1952 in Columbus. Mr. Skaggs was a 1971 graduate of Circleville H.S. and played on the 1970 S.C.O.L. championship football team. He was a graduate of Hocking Tech in accounting & business mgt. and had been a baseball and softball umpire for 14 years. Currently worked for City of Columbus at the waste water treatment plant, Jackson Pike and was a member of Blessed Hope Bible Church, Ashville. He was preceded in death by parents Russel and Eleanor (Westenhaver) Skaggs. Survived by his wife of 17 years, Tracy L. (Brill); daughters, Tabitha at home, Julie Skaggs of AZ.; son, Shaun Skaggs of AZ.; sisters, Mary Lou (Michael) Crumpler of NC., Linda (Steve) Wunsch of Stoutsville, Cathy Mayberry of Columbus, Susan Bernadzikowski of PA.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Harold ! Brill of Orient; brothers-in-law, Terry (Carla) Brill of Orient and Todd (Wendy) Brill of Grove City; special friends, Karl (Mary Gail) Neuding, Lance (Julie) Neuding; aunt, Helen Bartholomew; family, Nancy and Paul Mayberry, Dean Smallwood and Phyllis Williams, all of Circleville. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2008 at Blessed Hope Bible Church, 9941 St. Rt. 752, Ashville with Pastor Todd Hautala officiating. Burial will follow in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery, Circleville. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the OLIVER-CHEEK FUNERAL HOME, Ashville.
