DAVIS Mary E. Davis, age 76, of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Born January 22, 1932 in Oppy, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Smith) Johnson. Retired from Robert Shaw Control after 20 years. She was preceded in death by brothers Homer, Joe, Willis and Ben Johnson, sisters Dora Johnson, Sadie Hensley, and Ola (Granny) Muncy. Survived by devoted daughter, Freda (Davis) Cantrell and son, Jeffrey (Joyce) Davis; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Kevin, Lynnette, Brandi and Jeffrey; 3 great-grandsons, (her babies) Jordan, Jaidan and Aidan; sisters, Goldie McNeely and Katie Davis; brother, Landrum (Dave) Johnson; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also loved by special friend she considered her daughter, Joyce (sister) Woods and step-granddaughter, Vicki Frye; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah and Jason. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 134! 6 S. High St., where the funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. Reverend Kermit Gardner officiating.
