PITTMAN, Elsie age 87, passed away at St. Leonard of Centerville, Ohio on Monday, November 24, 2008. Elsie was born April 11, 1921 in McKee, Kentucky. She was the eldest of 12 children born to John and Cora Rowland. She first met her husband Edward Pittman in 1946 and they were married later that year. Elsie retired from General Motors (Frigidaire) in Dayton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ed in April of 2005; a sister, Mabel Mullins; and four brothers, Earl, John Jr., Donald, and Ray Rowland. Elsie is survived by three brothers, James Frederick Rowland of Germantown, Hollis Darrell Rowland of Peebles, OH, and Jack Rowland of Miamisburg; three sisters, Alpha Sierschula of Dayton, Billie Philpot, and Ruth Ann Gillespie of Franklin and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 28, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home located at 40 North Main Street in Springboro, with Reverend Corinne Gunter of Noblesville, Indiana ! officiating.
