PACK, Vadis Jay 81, of Medway went home to be with his Lord, November 7, 2008 in Dayton, Ohio. He was born February 1, 1927 in Rock House, Kentucky to the late Alanzo and Eliza Pack. Vadis was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 290, a member of Michael L. Finnell Masonic Lodge 0711 F & AM, a member of the Fairborn Enterprise Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Imogene, whom he married in 1948, two sons and daughters-in- law; Vadis and Susie Pack Jr. of Paintsville, Kentucky, Larry and Judy Pack of Mayfield, Kentucky, a daughter and son in-law, Doris and Gary Preston of Medway, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends. Vadis was preceded in death by his parents, three children; Robert Allen Pack, John Kenneth Pack, Jimmy L. Pack, five siblings; Delbert Pack, Roy Pack, Velma Caudill, Virgil Pack, and Edward Pack. Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00 Monday, November 10, 2008 in F! airborn Enterprise Baptist Church, 1614 Stewart Boulevard, Fairborn with Pastor Bobby Jenkins. Burial will follow the service in Byron Cemetery, Fairborn. Visitation will be 3-7pm Sunday in Adkins Funeral Home, 7055 Dayton-Springfield Road, Enon. Published in the Dayton Daily News on 11/8/2008
