Scofield Davis, 72, of Lowmansville went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008. He was born Nov. 3, 1935, in Ulysses, the son of the late Burns and Okie Young Davis. He was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include four sisters, Barbara Cundiff, Helen Schmid and Patsy Black, all of Columbus, Ohio and Betty Crana of Naples, Fla.; two brothers, Curtis Davis of Springfield, Ohio and Willis Davis of Louisa; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Jimmy Vanhoose and Jimmy Bevins officiating. Burial will be in Young Cemetery in Lowmansville.
