Juanita A. VanHoose, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 29, 2008, at her residence in Ashland, Ky. She was born on Dec. 28, 1930, the daughter of the late Boone and Susie (Allen) Arnett. Juanita is survived by two sons, Mike (Becky) VanHoose of Pomeroy, Ohio, and Tim (Carolyn) VanHoose of Ashland; two sisters, Ruth (Orville) Stephens and Donna Moore, both of Ashland; two brothers, R.C. (Winnie) Arnett of Ashland and Boone Arnett of Mansfield, Ohio; sisters-in-law Karen Arnett of Mansfield and Doris Gilbert of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George E. VanHoose; three brothers, Joe Arnett, Larry Arnett and George “Bub” Arnett; sister-in-law Helen Arnett; brother-in-law Richard Moore; and nephew Ron Arnett. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by the Rev. Dale Maddy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
