JENKINS, Robert 81, of Lebanon, died Sunday October 5, 2008. Born July 19, 1927 in Magoffin County, KY to Dorsey and Ollie May (nee: Ramey) Jenkins, he worked for many years as a carpenter. He was a former union president for Production Plating and was a former Civil Defense Director. He was also an avid gardener. Preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Patty Jenkins, and two brothers, Troy and Delbert Jenkins, survivors include his wife of 62 years Irene (nee: Williams) Jenkins of Lebanon, three daughters, Wanda Gail (Robert) Howard of Lebanon, Kathy (Jim) Crisp of Lebanon, and Sharlene Taulbee (Winford) of Mason, one brother, Will (Nelmie) Jenkins of Morrow, four sisters, Ivella Schoonover of CA, Bonnie Nickell of Lebanon, Jewel Bennett (Johnny) of Midway, OH, and Loretta Jenkins (Dean) of Magoffin County, KY, six grandchildren, Deanna, Robbie, John, Ross, Amberly, and Austen, and six great grandchildren, Amanda, Aaron, Ashton, Isabella, Olivia, and Lola. Visita! tion was Wednesday October 8, 2008 from 12 Noon until 2 PM with funeral service immediately following, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Pastor Jeff Kilburn officiated.
