JOB Girth must have ran in the family. Simeon's niece, Allie Justice, daughter of John Justice and Amy Neal, was a very large woman. She married John H. D. Holliday and was known in later years as "Fat Granny". She could only travel in a sled pulled by a team of oxen. She utilized this mode of transportation to get around and perform her role of midwife. She died at the home of a relative while on a midwife mission. She was buried on site, but later disinterred to a family plot. There is a legend about this deed. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, October 15, 2008 5:42 PM Subject: Re: [EASTERNKENTUCKY] North Carolina to Eastern Kentucky inthelate1700's and... > Elder Simon Justice last married Adelphia Carter.
