In the very early 1800's there were Corum's living in Madison County, KY. These are the only Corum's listed in my Kentucky Marriage Records. Madison Co. might be a good place to look in the 1800, 1810 census. Remember to try different spellings as most couldn't spell back then. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a lover of blue grass music and loved to play blue grass music and was retired from CSX Railroad after 38 years. Surviving are two sons and wives, Billy Ray (Sally) Collins of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Timothy Howard (Jennifer) Collins of South Shore; three daughters and husbands, Mary Alice (Richard) Hughes of Lucasville, Ohio, Crystal Dawn (Junior) Jenkins of Wurtland, Ky., and Diana (Bryan) Simpson of South Shore; one sister, Effie Adkins of Portsmouth; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Preceding him in death are one daughter, Marie Jeanette Collins; and five sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Gary Vaughn, minister officiating. BAILEY, Larry R. 65 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton. He was born in Portsmouth, Oh. on March 26, 1943 the son of Guy R. & Vada (Thompson) Bailey. He is survived by his wife Clyda Fern (Huffman) Bailey, daughter & son-in-law Tami Regina and Michael Walters, granddaughters Alexis Regina Walters and Brittany Renee Walters, Aunt Zora Koenig, and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Joy Bennett. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 10am-12pm in the JENNINGS FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N.
